I know that I’ve totally neglected this blog. Again. But here I am. Again.

Hellllooooo potatoes. I'm going to see you in my belly.

Im trying to get inspired to change up my go-to recipe routine (rut) now that school is back in session. SooooIm going to try one new recipe every week. Anyone want to join in with me? Anyone? Im going to choose one of these yummo recipes that I found on Pinterest (which are conveniently located on my Veggie-licious board.

Or you Mr. Seafood Superfood salad of some sort.

And if it ever decides to become Fall in Atlanta, I'll choose you Mr. Ravioli and Veggie Soup.

Do you gals have any yummy new recipes to share? Please do. Pretty please?

I’m good at stalking Pinterest, just not so good at actually making things.

Fortunately I have super awesome creative friends that actually follow through on crafty projects. Let me introduce you to Amy. She’s like a younger, prettier, law-abiding version of Martha Stewart. The opposite of me.

Anyhooo, Amy found these adorbz edible baskets for easter. Guess what she did? She actually made them.

Her version turned out like this. What up mother-of-the-freaking-year.

You can check out all of Amy’s boards right here. And let's all give Amy a round of applause for actually finishing a project.

Who the F*#k has time to do all of these Pinterest projects?

So the shell project didn’t happen this week. Story of my life. And probably because I spent most of my pinning instead of actually making stuff.

I did do one thing that’s sort of share worthy. This mother-of-the-year was in charge of Teacher Appreciation Week gifts for my son’s class. So I put together a basket full of their favorite foods and then added in a gift card.

Fingers crossed this puts Darren up in the favorite student category. I set a good example, right? No.

Totally (not) going to complete the shells project this week. And in the meantime, check out some other projects I’ll never get to.

You gotta love another Pinterest FAIL.

So this is awesome. One of my good friends saw this brilliant idea on Pinterest—turning cereal tupperware into a car trashcan. Smart, right?

Um not so much.

Turns out that the tupperware slid under the carseat and her daughter got a hold of it, turned it upside down and dumped out all of the trash.

And that my friends should make you feel better when you see all of those glossy pictures that make you (and by you I mean me) feel like a failure. Thankyouverymuch.

Update on my next Pinterest Project: There is no update.

And of course you can check out all of my boards here.

Homemade Valentines completed. Brag.

First of all, Happy Valentine’s Day. Second of all, I rule. Why? Because I completed my first Pinterest project. And the finished product didn’t totally suck.

You can view the progress here.

And check out the finished products! Of course I realized at midnight last night that they would all fall apart if I just put them in my son’s backpack. So I (the hubby) stuck them in this flower holder thing that I happened to have. Pretty and functional, like you.
And now I’d like to show you what I’m going to attempt to do next week with the shells we collected in Costa Rica.

It’s going to look something like this. I hope. I know, this is such a freaking cliff hanger.

And of course you can check out all of my boards here.

Currently making Valentine’s Day cards for kids’ classmates while watching them do a taste test on playdough.

Eating playdough can’t be that bad, can it? I mean there’s really only so much I can multitask at once.

Anyhoo, the craft of the week is coming along. Here’s what I’ve done so far.
(1) Bought craft paper (duh)
(2) Drew lips on said craft paper
(3) Cut out lips

Not too shabby if I do say so myself. Of course I think you should know I have the artistic ability of a three-year-old.

And if you’re still searching for the ultimate V’day craft ideas, check these pins out.
S'mores. nom, nom. nom.

One of my friends just made these bookmarks and emailed me a pic. She's sort of a show off.

I’ve got good news for you. Actually it’s just news.

I’ve added more pins to my Valentine's Day board. You know, more projects for you not to do. But they’re cute so I wanted to share. If you have kids, the pressure is currently on to make cute valentine’s day cards. If you’re an adult, the pressure is currently on to make cute Valentine’s day cards (or to find a significant other before next week. )

Either way, this stuff is way awesome. So make it. Or buy it. Or pin it.

Update on this week's project I’m completing: I have yet to start. Get off my back.

I’d like to interrupt this morning’s usual stalking to reintroduce you to my other blog – Pinterest Stalkers.

My pinterest blog has been redesigned. So now it’s not only functional, it’s pretty to look at. You know, like a cupcake. Or a cosmo. And I'm actually going to update it. For real.

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, I’ve decided to feature projects of looooove this week. And since people are saying that Pinterest is useless unless you actually complete a project, I’m going to make these mustache/lip Valentines for all of the kids in my son’s class. And you’ll get to follow along.

Ohhh yeah (or maybe I should say Oy Vey), this is going to be good.

Feel free to check out all the projects I've pinned for Valentine's Day.

P.S. Pinterest is really catching on. You heard it here second here
P.P.S. This blog is still a work in progress. Feel free to comment on what you would like to see.

What is it about fall that makes me want to cozy up, eat and shop? And not necessarily in that order.

Oh wait, that’s me any time of year.

But seriously, I love all things fall. The colors, the sweaters, the everything.

I went on a pinning spree today and created an ode to fall board.

Now I’m off to look at recipes and comfy pants. They go hand-in-hand right?

Hello there Mr. Living Room. Pleasure to see you.

Ummm I think you just overheard me talking to my living room. AWKWARD.

I like my living room. It’s really nice and comfy. But pretty it is not. Why? Probably because it’s a playroom, tv room, entertainment room, napping room and sometimes even a dining room.

Yeah, it’s got a lot to deal with.

I’m going to try so hard to make you (I mean it) pretty again. I've even made a board just for you (I mean it).

Come to mama.

Monday, August 29, 2011

Oh helloooo. How was your weekend? Mine was fine thanks for asking.

But it was hot. So freaking hot. And now I, lover of hot weather, am actually wondering when fall will hit.

I’m ready. Come to mama Fall weather.

In order to channel cooler temps to the South, I created a Fall Board on Pinterest. It’s sort of like doing a rain dance, right? Work with me. It's freaking hot up in here.

I have a dog. Do you have a dog?

Do you want my dog?
Kidding.
Sort of.

But seriously, do you want her?
Kidding.
Sort of.

My dog is spoiled.
Rotten.

Her breath smells.
Rotten.

I love her.
Which is why I created this board dedicated to her.

Pinterest just seems like another place to point out my Insufficiencies

I mean I love it and all, but looking at Pinterest sort of makes me realize how un-crafty I really am.

Waaaaaaa, feel sorry for me.

Fortunately I have all of you to complain to.

But Pinterest is like a drug. I just keep going back for more.

Go ahead and check out my insufficiencies.

Girl Gone Wild

That’s my daughter. Out of her crib and wild.

She needs a big girl room and fast.

What does this mean to you? Nothing really.

But to me it means I get to decorate.

Bring it Pinterest.

It's already been broughten.

Me don’t organize so well.

I can’t even organize my thoughts, much less my life. And my closet? That’s a whole other issue that no one needs to hear about. It literally explodes. Blows up. And I have no idea how it happens.

My closet truly is a phenomenon beyond explanation.

I dream of being organized. I sometimes even try my hand at it. But alas, it’s not going so well.

Remember that in the world of organization; do as I say, not as I do.

Now go forth and check out my organization board.

Ode To The Front Foyer

You are neglected
You’re not really a room

You get all of the leftover furniture

Sorry about that

Let me make it up to you

Check out how I would decorate you if I cared

Pinterest is for lovers.

But don’t worry it’s also for haters. And for likers. Oh and of course it's for excessive pinners.

But I digress, Pinterest is for lovers which is why today’s board is wedding inspired. Do you love this board? I doooooo.

It's a food haiku

I like to eat food
And I like it to look good
Nom, nom, nom, nom, nom

You like food too? Of course you do.
Now go check out the board that inspired my awesome haiku.

How is it that I go to bed before my 4-year-old?

Tell me this doesn’t just happen to me. Or at least lie to me. It’s a good thing I have a girls’ weekend about to begin to catch up on my rest.

I’ve of course named it “Girls Gone Wild”. There will be 12 girls. No kids. And lots of wine that we’re sneaking in because who can seriously afford more than one glass of wine at the Ritz? Not me.

I’m super psyched for a night with the gals. And I’m super excited to bring you my Girls’ Weekend themed Pinterest board.

What do these three pics have in common? Check out the board to find out. Jeez.

Now I must get back to stalking. I mean eating. I mean working. I mean shut it.

Wednesday, August 10, 2011

Ahhhh Pinterest. How I love you and all of your pinning so.

But I get lost. So very lost on Pinterest. But now I am found. Wait what?

If you think I’m insane, I sort of am. But in a good sort of way. Hi, it’s me Julie. You know, from Etsy Stalkers.

Have you been to Pinterest yet? Of course you have. As have I. A few thousand times. And now I’m bringing my finds to you, stalker style.

Don’t worry your little heads, I’m not leaving Etsy behind. oh contraire mon frere, I’m still busy stalking (and pretending I speak French). Let’s just say I excel at stalking. Thankyouverymuch.

So with no further ado, I bring you my first Pinterest Board, which I lovingly named ‘Homebody’. So go ahead. Take a look around. Pick out some perrty stuff for your home. And heck, pick out something for me. Seriously, I don’t do this for free. OK, I do.
